SmCo Permanent Magnetic
Material
(1) Characteristics and
Typical Applications
SmCo
magnet enjoys high energy product and coercive force. Its magnetic
properties are better than the AlNiCo magnet and the ferrite magnet.
Its maximum energy product can reach 239KJ/m3 (30MGOe), which is 3
times than AlNiCo8, and 8 times than ferrite magnet (Y40).
Therefore, components made from SmCo enjoy the properties of small
size, light weight and stable performance. They can be utilized in
the applications of electroacooustic and telecommunication devices,
motors, measurers, spinning topes, electronic horologes, microwave
devices, magnetic machines, sensors and the other dynamic magnetic
circuits.
SmCo magnet has high Curie temperature
and small temperature coefficient, and can work under the
temperature of 300¡æ.
¡¡
The value of hardness and brittleness
of SmCo is big, while its bending strength, pulling strength and
compression strength are small, thus it does not suit for the
manufacturing of structure members.
